goodbuys

US px stores. my dad says i shouldn't be buying from them cause they rip you off. they dilute the product / sell unknown stuff in recycled designer bottles.

i found another one in Alimall the other day, and yes, hook line sinker. at first i was trying to tell my boyfriend since their stuff 's half the price and i was in dire need of shampoo i am going to try their store, told him "just one bottle, that is all i am going to purchase" , batted my eyes, and smiled as sweetly as i could... so he wandered off convinced, leaving me there... in a sea of half priced goods. not a good idea.

to make the long story short, like multiplying fishes and loaves of bread, my one bottle became 6 products.
here is my mini haul (and below is my feedback):

1.true to my word, i did get a shampoo, a big ass (33% more!) bottle of  sunsilk shampoo for 150 pesos, i have tried it this morning, and it doesn't seem diluted to me, the scent lasted all day, and most importantly it did not leave my hair feeling dry or static.
2. i got the Sunsilk Anti-Flat 24/7 , i need this, i told myself, i did tell you that a few months ago i had my hair chemically straightened, and now its all limp, lifeless, and so horribly plain. now, this creme smells terrific, and does wonders to my roots, and it did not go all scrunchy on me too. (100-150php)
3. St. Ives Elements Olive Cleanser, i was most excited with this one, because this is NOT available in our regular grocery stores, namely: shopwise, sm, rustans. this is not even sold at watsons. i got this in the px store for 100 pesos, and it looked very legit to me despite the price, and felt quite legit too. the consistency is right for gel/oil like cleansers, it did remove my heavy make up and it left my face feeling really moisturized.
4.Jean Philippe No.48 Wild Honey Body Scrub, hard to rinse, but very addictive, if i can put this on my pancakes every morning i would. my boyfriend loveeeeeeeeees the smell, and how soft my skin feels after exfoliating with this small jar. I am not familiar with this brand, jean philippe, or his line of products but after much deliberation of his honey scrub, i will be on the look out for more. (50php)
5. 65 pesos, for makeup remover towels, resembling those very expensive baby wipes in resealable foil packets. not bad. claims: can remove waterproof mascara... but sadly it did not.
6. Revlon Mix & Mingle Lip... cute packaging. period. feels heavy on lips. total waste of money... :( and this was the most pricey for it's size: 150 pesos for this small pot of lipgloss.

i love this store!!! sorry dad... but i love this storrrreeeeeeeeee... definitely more mini hauls from them from now on.

bargain buys

5'4!
that is my height. my brother robbed me of all the good genes my father's side had to offer. he's sprouted to 6'1 and i was left merely grazing a few inches above 5 feet.

thus the need for heels.

i need heels because they can make me look slim. and feel slim. :)

a few days back i went to Mango and was infected with the idea that i needed those wooden clogs on display. and to my horror as i flipped the tag it dawned on me that i cannot, CAN NOT afford them. i can not afford them 6,000 peso clogs.

so i went far and away in the webworld in search of these fabulous clogs... and i've finally found a cheaper pair, how cheap? like slash 4 thousand off the mango ones.

if you want a link to this lovely lovely online store, just pm me and i would gladly give it to ya.
steepest ones i got

the hunt for cheap frames!
thank god for i2i mall stalls for their affordable chic frames! all of which are 400php and below.
my dog ate the faux turquoise shell avies i bought so i rushed to farmers plaza in cubao to get me another one. sadly since they were few seasons back, they don't sell em anymore.

folks often ask me where i go ukay ukay...
people, "sa tabi ng farmers plaza din po. yung building na may AMA computer college."

so since i was in the area, i decided to pass by manong suki, and let me tell you that i rarely leave that place without a purchase, and luck be my lady, i found a nice plastic frame "with a vintage feel to it". i knew exactly what the next step would be: head back to farmers for prescription lenses, 40 mins later...

300 pesos for their regular lens, but if you want the hard scratch proof anti glare lenses they go for around 900 to 1.3k a pair.

TIP: sunglasses hut is having a sale till the end of september, if you buy a pair you get  40% off the next purchase on their designer glasses. so if you decide to get, lets say, a ray ban avies, the classic ones go for 7k a pair, and the discounted pair will be around 4k! so isn't that just swell????

forever21

i went to Forever 21 (megamall) the other day with my dad, boyfriend and brother. twas indeed a  family day!  my brother who hardly visits, decided to take the 9 hour trip to manila and "bond". i say this with a tone of sarcasm and mockery cause i am pretty sure the reason behind the visit was leaning towards him asking my dad a favor versus him actually missing the presence of his kin.
anyhooooo
this is what i got:
but before you start throwing bitchy comments about my photography skills, let me tell you upfront: i have no talent in taking pictures. i have the worse kind of pasma that even the antishake feature does not apply to me.

i got two skirts, a blue dress, a ethnic print top and a white shirt (which is not included in the picture cause of the fact that i'm wearing it right now!)
AND....
i got a bag as well, and a hard case hinge wallet

pucker up!

i can't stop myself from buying lip gloss, no exaggeration: i purchase a tube every week.

i've tried every brand SM has to offer. from everbilena to revlon.

this august i bought four:
L'Oreal Infallible Plumping Gloss - Plumped Coral
Bodyshop Cheek and Lip Tint
Fanny Serrano (with mirror and light)
E.L.F. Hypershine Lip Gloss Set

so i decided to review them based on a week's use. :)

  • L'oreal's kudos for the color, the heart shaped applicator, and the 8 hour wear, i actually can't say i had it on for a full 8, cause i'm one of those people who can't stop licking their lips with or without product on, but i can tell you... the lipgloss does stick! smells and tastes delicious too!

  • Bodyshop's... okay okay, so this is not a lipgloss, but since it almost is, i decided to put it up for a review too! it's great, does what it should: tints your cheeks and your lips, but it is kind of pricey for it's size, and... it does not smell that great, smells kind of  "whiteboard marker-ish" (if there's such a word).

  • Elf's: super cheap!!! i got it for less than 150 pesos, (around $3). I actually got two of these, but i somehow lost the other one, one thing i don't like about the packaging tho is that it's the "twist and goo comes out" and somehow, it's not idiot proof. i always end up wasting it cause i'm twisting more than i should.

  • Fanny Serrano's lip gloss, if you're not from the phils you probably won't have this in your department stores, but this stuff is great, aside from it's genius color palette (perfectly concocted for the filipino skin) it also sports a small mirror on the side, and peeking thru the applicator's handle is this little pinlight... when you hold it against your mouth together with the mirror, you actually get to see what you're doing, it's great when you're in the club getting your pakyotness on in the dark... :)

  • what's your favorite tube of lipgloss?
