Dear Pregnant Women Everywhere,
This is your time to sit back and relax. Take care of your body and the child you carry. Follow the pregnancy rules, get a good amount of sleep, and prepare yourself for what may be a difficult 9 month ride.
It is NOT a time though, to be super pregnant woman. To force yourself to do things you use to to do. To stand on chairs, to try and lift heavy things, or shovel 14 inches of snow in the first winter storm of this season. This is not the time for that ladies. We, as husbands, boyfriends, sperm donors, etc, give you permission to sit on your ass and chill the fuck out. My husband head is spinning with worry that something awful may happen to that child of mine. Along with my wife too ;) Your round pregnant bellies remind us of balloons blown up to their full compacity ready to POP.
We’ve hit the pregnancy stage that I worry that any fall for my wife my pop that stomach of hers. Any icy sidewalk, hole in the ground, or slippery floor is putting our child in jeopardy. And it makes me worry. So I’ve been catching myself recently telling my wife that she needs to take it easy and relax a bit. I know it sucks not being able to do the things you once were able to do, but hopefully soon enough you will be back to normal ready to go. For now, stop making me worry so much. This is your free pass ladies, to have your men do things for you while you sit, relax and eat ice cream, or whatever your little pregnant heart desires. If you have a good man, you can get them to do just about anything for you. Just huff a bit, struggle to move around, say you’re in a bit of pain, and remind your man of the son or daughter you are carrying for them. Then, will you be able to get them to do all the things you and your little heart only dreamed of. That’s a bit of a secret, but don’t tell them I told you that
